About the destination: Located in the Southern region of the country, the Iguazu Falls extend over Brazilian and Argentinian territories. With more than 300 falls with an average of 65m (213ft), the Iguazu falls deserve its name. Iguazu literally means “big water” in the native Tupi language.
Tourists can enjoy the nature and landscape in Iguazu Falls by walking in the numerous parks and trails or by dining in one of the many restaurants that offer beautiful views. The biggest and most famous chasm is the Devil´s Throat, an 85m (279ft) chasm located on the Brazilian side of the cataracts. Although Brazil only has 3 of the biggest chasms, the ones located on the Argentinian side face Brazil, making it the best place for viewing. Visiting the Itaipu Dam, the biggest dam in terms of generating capacity, is another popular destination. Iguazu Falls is not, however, limited to only seeing the nature – tourists often cross the border to Paraguay to shop and to Argentina to visit casinos. About the tour: Land and air tour with reduced prices, previously offered by local operators to the domestic market only. Your flight leaves from Rio. Includes airfare, hotel, breakfast, and airport transfers at Foz do Iguaçú. Typically lasts four days (three nights), but longer or shorter periods can be arranged. If you already have your air tickets we work with a wide selection of hotels with instant confirmation. In addition to the Iguazu Falls and Park on the Brazilian side, cross the border and see the falls from a different perspective on the Argentinean side. Use your free time to visit impressive Itaipú Dam, take the Macuco River safari, play at the casino in Argentina or Paraguay, check out the Bird Park, go rappelling, trekking, or just relax and enjoy. Prices are quoted per person, based on ensuite rooms with double occupancy. Optional tours are not included. Single and triple occupancy is also available. |
