On additional days you have a choice of beaches offered on optional tours: a visit to Igarassu, with the oldest church in Brazil dating back to 1535, plus the Fort of Orange, built by Dutch colonizers, Tamandare, with its famous beach lined up with coconut trees, Caruaru, listed by UNESCO as the most important center of Figurative Arts in Latin America, (shopping fairs on Wednesdays and Saturdays).
There's even a the possibility of quick visit to neighboring State of Alagoas, to spend a day at the beach of Maragogi with a boat ride and dune buggies. Families with children love the Veneza Water park at Maria Farinha, a quick ride from Recife. Prices are quoted per person, based on ensuite rooms
